My local machine shop does a wonderful job with re-lining shoes. :)
Bild
The price is very reasonable and they were returned within a week.

I test fitted everything to check for shoe clearance, but it must be taken apart again to align the "leading shoes" as opposed to the "trailing shoes". (they must be in the proper order to work) ;)

The photo shows the incorrect assembly (Springs are not in the correct holes). 8-)

After a long absence (sorry), I am back with some updates. I needed to locate a new Clutch housing shaft for the Kalmar because the original one had been cut.
Bild

I came across a problem when this was re-assembled....The bearing I normally use, would not work. The inside diameter was too large and purchasing a proper one was too expensive (they are selling for 98,00 Euro each in Holland).
Bild
The inside diameter on a SKF 6305 bearing (only cost 27,00 Euro) is 25mm, the shaft is 22mm. :( :(

The solution: A 22mm to 25mm Bronze Reducing Bushing!!

Now the new Bearing fits perfectly. :D :D

Finally I can get the Clutch assembly back on the motor...

The final bearing used is an SKF 6305-2RS1 (double rubber sealed).
98,00 Euro verses 27,00 Euro....which will you use??

Just a few more progress photos....

Bild
Test fitting the front panel so a lower grille could be installed properly.

Bild
Finished the 12 volt wiring and have bolted a 12 volt Voltage Regulator to the bulkhead panel. I will soon find out if this was accomplished correctly. ;) First I need to wait for an exhaust pot (coming from DAFHobby) and do the wires on the Dashboard.

Bild
Since the weather is finally getting warm I decided to glue the rubber to my new windshield (Thanks again Ronny). Hopefully that will be installed this week. :)

Does any have a good clear (and large) Electrical schematic for a type 1 Kalmar. I found one on Sverker's photo album page but it is so small it will not print properly.

I am desperate and need help because the wires have been so badly changed that I need to trace EVERY wire.

John

Thanks Fredrik....That helps somewhat because it is a type 2 schematic. At least I could expand the schematic to build a larger one. :)

One question: How does this word translate to english: branslematare

28 Bränslemätare = Fuel gauge. I think that is it the sensor in the gas tank, but im not sure.
